landscape proposals

Design proposal for a new build LIFT Integrated Care Centre to be located in the East of the City on the former David Lister School Site, Rustenburg Street, Hull. The objective of the development is to create a new Integrated Care Centre to provide facilities for provision of services for people primarily over the age of 65 years with long term conditions. This will include accommodation to support a rapid assessment unit, diagnostics, ongoing health care and rehabilitation services. In addition Humberside Fire and Rescue Services (HFRS) will be located within the building to provide a base for their East Hull service.

The form of the building and its location to the northeast of the site allows for a clearly defined, welcoming and richly landscaped arrival to be created, one that naturally leads users towards the main entrance. Parking and drop-off/pick-up are conveniently located with parking bays sub-divided into smaller ‘cells’ by planting to reduce their visual prominence. Proposals also include two courtyard gardens designed to offer patients, staff and visitors a safe, inviting and therapeutic landscape.
