Peter is our resident artist and placemaker. A creative designer inspired by social and site narratives, natural forms and abstract art; he is a dual qualified Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with over 30 years’ experience in the UK and overseas.
Passionate about the North East, Peter has worked for some of the leading Landscape Architecture practices in the UK before returning to the region in 2021 to join ONE Environments as Associate Director. He has extensive experience with a grounding in the technical and commercial aspects of landscape and a proven track record in delivering across a wide range of sectors including public realm, masterplanning / urban design, hotels and resorts, commercial/retail, residential and education projects.
Peter is a clear thinker with a great capacity for listening which enables him to get to the heart of client’s aspirations and realise them into a clear set of objectives that guide the landscape design as it develops. Peter also undertakes LVIA and Environmental Statements and has acted as Expert Witness at Public Inquiry’s. Having worked on projects as varied as local community parks through to acting as ODA supervisor at the 2012 Olympic Park, from small rural developments through to city quarter regeneration, Peter has an in-depth knowledge of the design drivers that form and shape our landscapes.
Peter’s passions outside of work include making mixed media abstract art, kayaking, walking, climbing and photography.
