Richard passionately believes in the ecological aspects of design in the built environment, maximising resilience and biodiversity. His active approach to respecting a site’s natural capital and creating ecologically rich solutions is combined with a pragmatic mind-set to buildability and long-term management.

With a core specialism focused on the education and health sectors Richard has an impressive portfolio of design, planning and re-development projects for a range of schools, academies and universities. Adding value for clients through a depth of knowledge, professional judgement and commitment to each project from inception to completion, sees Richard completely dedicated in each project, interacting with the client and key stakeholders alike to best understand what is needed and how to ensure an enriched outcome.

Richard is a keen cyclist having previously completed the Coast to Coast and enjoys countryside outings with his young family.
